Buddha Purnima or Buddha Jayanti is the honoured and most celebrated festival for Buddhists. It happens mainly on the full moon day or Purnima of the lunar month of Vaisakha, which represents a bright day in April-May . In the year 2025, the day will be observed on Monday, 12 May.

History of Buddha Purnima
